Day 10 (6/1/09)
It is now 11:43 E.S.T. as I write this, while sitting in a laundry room at an RV campground. We didn't get off our bikes until 9:00 E.S.T., 8 hours of saddle time! There is a lot to write about this day, but I'm too tired. Although, tomorrow is a long mileage day, hopefully, it will be less eventful and allow us to get off the bike sooner. I will try to recap today as well as Day 11 tomorrow, June 2nd.

You know Sam, when I think of you doing laundry in an RV campground...all I can picture is Robin Williams's hilarious attempt at emptying his RV septic system in the movie RV!!!!! Good luck buddy, and keep it real!

Regarding your quest for a name of the Utah wildflowers; I don't recognise the white flower, but the pink looks like Epilobium Angustifolium. I hope that is helpful.
ReplyDeleteAll is looking well for the South Mountain Velo men as they blaze a trail eastward to the Atlantic Ocean. Am I the only one wondering this, but are the days going by quicker since Tim, Jere and Sam are pedaling and pushing the earth quicker toward sunrises and sunsets? I'm looking forward to giving you guys some drafting support when you close in your destination. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSam our first time looking at you blog. Hope all is going well and you adventure is everthing you expected, We are all looking forward to seeing you back and hearing all you stories. Sam do you know how to work a washing machine? Just kidding. Good Luck and God Bless.

ReplyDeleteAs Gretchin and I always say you better watch your back because the Indian always get the guy in the back first. I suggest you to try and stay in the middle of the pack because of the indian territory you may be entering.
Regarding the washing machine- Sam is a person of many talents- he learned how to use a washing machine when he was twelve-years old. We always knew that would be a useful skill someday. His Mom
